How To Upload & Download

⚠️ Upload Limit


Each upload method supports files up to 2GB:

  • Browser Upload
  • Drag & Drop
  • WebDAV (e.g. GoodSync)



📤 Uploading Files


✅ 1. Drag & Drop (Easiest Method)

  1. Go to the Document Library within your data room.
  2. From your local computer, drag one or more files or folders directly into the browser window.
  3. A prompt will appear—click OK to confirm and begin the upload.

Note:

  • Dragging a folder will also include subfolders and files.
  • Avoid using special characters in file/folder names: ? ” * < > ? / : |


⬆️ 2. Upload Button (For Unsupported Browsers)

  1. Navigate to the Document Library.
  2. Click the Upload button at the top of the page.
  3. Select the magnifying glass icon and browse to the file(s) on your device.
  4. Click Upload, then click OK when done.
  5. Repeat as necessary for additional uploads.



⚙️ 3. Bulk Upload Using GoodSync (Advanced)

For uploading large batches of files or automating uploads.


Pre-Setup Checklist:

  • Download GoodSync (Free: 3 jobs/100 files, or Pro: for 5 devices).
  • Create a Contributor user in your site (avoid using Managers for uploads to reduce risk).
  • Recommended: limit to 2 upload threads and 100KB/sec.


Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Open GoodSync, click Create New Job.
  2. Name your job (e.g., "PF Upload") and choose Backup as the job type.


Configure Left Folder (Local Source)
  1. Click the left folder icon on the toolbar.
  2. Browse to the folder on your PC or network containing files to upload


Configure Right Folder (Projectfusion Destination)

Here you can choose your upload destination.


  1. Click the right folder icon.
  2. Scroll to WebDAV, click the "+" icon to add a new connection
  3. Fill in the following


**(make sure you type this exactly and replace the YOURROOM with the correct name)

**(The WebDAV root is not optional and MUST be the following – /alfresco/webdav)


  1. Click Save
  2. Navigate to: Sites > Your Site > documentLibraryOptionally drill into a subfolder if needed.



CRITICAL CONFIGURATION STEPS
  1. Click Options in top right corner ( marked in red, on image above )
  2. Under General tab, uncheck Propagate Deletions (prevents accidental deletions on server
  3. Under both Left Side and Right Side tabs: Uncheck Safe Copy using temporary files -> Check No gsdata folder -> and then Save


  1. With both the left and right folders both selected, click the green ‘Apply’ button at the top to save the configuration
  2. Click Analyse to scan for differences.
  3. Click Sync to begin uploading.


📁 Downloading Files with GoodSync

Use this for full data room backups or selective folder downloads.


🚩 Use a "Consumer" account (read-only) to prevent accidental deletions.


Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Launch GoodSync, click Create New Job.
  2. Name your job (e.g., "PF Download") and select Backup mode.


Configure Left Folder (Projectfusion Source)
  1. Click the left folder icon.
  2. Select WebDAV, click "+" to create a connection.
  3. Fill in:
  1. Click Save
  2. Browse to: Sites > Your Site > documentLibrary (or drill into a subfolder)


Configure Right Folder (Local Destination)
  1. Click the right folder icon.
  2. Choose a folder on your PC where files should be saved.


Critical Configuration Steps
  • Open Options:
  • Under General, uncheck Propagate Deletions
  • Under both Left Side and Right Side tabs:
  • Uncheck Safe Copy using temporary files
  • Check No gsdata folder here


Download Files

  1. Click Analyse to check for new files.
  2. Click Sync to download to your local folder.

Note: If files don't transfer, check file names and sizes for compliance.
