Bulk Redaction Guide
Redact multiple documents at once using our powerful AI redaction tools. Here's how:
Documents must be OCR-optimised & UTF-8 format
Maximum 90 documents per bulk redaction
π Step 1: Upload Your Files
Upload the files you want to redact.
- Supported formats: PDF and Word (.docx)
- π§ Files must be OCR-optimised (i.e., searchable text)
βοΈ Step 2: Enable Redaction
- Click the Settings icon (top right corner)
- Select Edit Site Details
- Enable the following features:
- β Indexing
- β Redaction
- Click Save Changes
π±οΈ Step 3: Select Your Documents
- On the left side, click Select
- Choose what you want to redact:
- Individual documents
- Entire folders
- Or click All
π Step 4: Access AI Redaction
- Once items are selected, a new button will appear: Selected Items (right side of the Select button)
- Click Selected Items β then choose AI Redact
πͺ Step 5: Configure AI Redaction
A popup window will appear with the following options:
- Presets: Choose types of data to redact (e.g., π§ Email, βοΈ Phone, π Address)
- Regex text to redact/Free Text: Enter custom keywords or phrases to redact
- Ignore Whitelist: Input words you want to ignore (not redact)
Optionally: Use βPrepare Modeβ
- Enable Prepare Mode if you'd like to bulk-mark redactions first
- The system will highlight matching content across all selected files without applying redaction yet
βοΈ Step 6: Review & Apply
After you click the redact button on the pop up, the files will be sent for redaction and a progress bar will display.
Then refresh your page and you will now see documents marked as " prepared redact "
- Click on a "Prepared - Redact" file to open it in the secure viewer
- In the secure viewer, click the red Redact button (top right)
- Review the suggested redactions:
- β Click Apply to confirm
- βοΈ You can edit, remove, or add redactions manually
- Move on to the next file and repeat the process
